Washing and soaking sunflower seed is the most important step in our eyes when growing sunflower shoots. We use a water filtration system that injects Ozone into the water to wash and rinse our seed and then fill a bowl with ozonated water and let it soak for anywhere from 8-24hrs. We then rinse our seed one last time before planting to soil. Ozone is mother natures natural disinfectant and is non chemical and reverts back to oxygen quickly after use all while leaving no chemical footprint in it's wake, this is why we choose Veripure as our wash system for all our seeds that require soaking.
